Piers Morgan has never been a fan of the Kardashian family or anyone associated with them, but the douchey reporter took things to a new level when he insulted Kanye West’s “Famous” video.
In a new essay for The Daily Mail, Piers Morgan — who literally made a name for himself trashing celebrities — opened fire on Kanye West, his artistic expression, and his wife, among other. His opening sentence pretty much sums up the entire piece:
I didn’t think I’d live to see a more repellent piece of ‘performance art’ than Shia LaBeouf’s #IAMSORRY stunt where he invited fans to do what they liked to him then cried rape when a woman took him at his word.
I was wrong.
Ouch. In case you missed the video or refuse to get a subscription to Tidal (we don’t blame you), the music video is a take on Vincent Desiderio’s famous painting “Sleep.” West’s version features a slew of nude celebrities — Donald Trump, Kim Kardashian, Amber Rose, Bill Cosby, and Taylor Swift, to name a few — sleeping on an oversized bed.
The video has received a ton of praise, even from the artist himself. But Piers just isn’t having it. “The whole thing is so disgusting it made me want to vomit, especially as the leering camera slowly moves across each famous face and body, pausing over various parts of their anatomies.”
Despite the celebrities clearly being wax figures, Morgan brings up Taylor Swift’s presumed take on having her “naked body” strung out among the likes of a serial rapist and GOP egomaniac.
Imagine how poor Taylor Swift feels?
This is a talented young 25-year-old woman with a hard-earned wholesome reputation who’s already been cruelly belittled by Kanye’s lyric in the song: ‘I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex. Why? I made that b**ch famous.’
Now she has to put up with him faking a naked waxwork dummy of her lying next to his nude torso.
This is abuse, pure and simple; an older man exposing a younger woman to public sexual humiliation.
Taylor’s said to be ‘hurt and angry’ by the video, and who can blame her?
If it was my daughter Kanye was violating in this disgraceful way, I’d be round his house now with the L.A.P.D.
(Perhaps Taylor’s new boyfriend Tom Hiddleston will have his own way of dealing with such a revolting slur?)
Swift has yet to comment on the video, but considering her ongoing feud with West, one can assume she’s less than thrilled. However, how the f*ck would Piers Morgan know that? Why bring her into this at all? To rile up Swifties who are already fuming? What a cheap ploy to get people on your side.
But the worst is what he said about Kim Kardashian:
Your Famous video is a shockingly tacky, hideously distasteful, darkly sinister porn movie, nothing more and nothing less.
Shame on you for making it and shame on your wife for so enthusiastically endorsing it.
‘She’s talented at being beautiful’, you recently claimed about Kim.
Only none of this is ‘beautiful’. It’s ugly; very, very ugly.
And it makes yet further mockery of Kim’s claims to be some sort of feminist icon.
Piers Morgan, why are you so angry? If you don’t like it, don’t watch it… it’s really that simple.
