The feud between the Kardashians and Blac Chyna might have underwent a temporary fix in front of the cameras, but it looks like things are starting to head back in the opposite direction. According to TMZ, Kim, Kourtney and Khloe (and presumably their mother Kris Jenner) are making an effort to block Blac Chyna from using the family name in future business ventures. Their reasoning? It could damage their reputation.
Obviously things are about to get really ugly.
The famous sisters are reportedly completely opposed to Chyna’s request to trademark “Angela Renee Kardashian,” which she was trying to use while working in the entertainment industry and on social media.
In documents, the sisters say that if Chyna gets the trademark she’s looking for, they’ll “suffer damage including irreparable injury to their reputation and goodwill.” Yikes. So much for accepting her into the family. They also added that Chyna is “deliberately seeking to profit from the goodwill and popularity” associated with the Kardashian name.
Here’s my take — the part of me that values the Kardashian’s loyalty to one another thinks they’re doing this to protect their brother in case the couple never actually get married/eventually divorce. I’d like to think the best of the family, despite their best efforts to inadvertently make the world to believe otherwise. However, the part of me that remembers all of the BS tied to these people thinks their reasoning could be more obvious; they really don’t want Blac Chyna around and do believe that she could ruin their reputation.
