When you get famous from a sex tape you leaked on purpose and your former girlfriend’s brand flourishes from it, the only way to hold onto your 15 minutes of fame is to talk about her until you land a reality TV gig, then talk about her some more so people know who you are.
It may have been several centuries since Ray J and Kim Kardashian dated, but the supposed singer who’s better known for being the younger brother to Brandy, is still harping on their relationship, now claiming that the 36-year-old reality star cheated on him while they were together. The accusation came out during a recent episode of Celebrity Big Brother, when he was talking to singer Stacy Francis.
Francis, who was once friends with Ray J’s sister, Brandy, recalled once seeing Kardashian styling Ray J’s clothes when she was at the actress’s house. “She was really into you, really in love with you,” Francis, 47, said of Kardashian.
“Nah, but she was a player though,” he responded. Francis wasn’t buying it.
“She was not a player, she was crying her eyes out for you,” she said, with Ray J responding, “You don’t really know what happened though. Put it like this, we were both players. We were both cheaters.”
Again, she wasn’t buy it. “I don’t believe that about her. I remember her being very heartbroken over you. I think she really loved you very much.” Agreed, presumably up until he exploited her to millions of people for money.
The former couple dated on and off for three years, from 2003 to 2006. Following their split, the two made headlines after their infamous sex tape was released by Vivid Entertainment. Kardashian sued over the video, which was titled Kim K Superstar, and reportedly received a multimillion-dollar settlement. But despite the poor press, Ray J is still pretty proud of the tape.
“You might know me for a lot of things — music, reality TV, oh, and you might also know me for my d*ck,” he said, introducing himself in a previous Celebrity Big Brother episode. “People wanna know about the sex tape with me and Kim Kardashian. Order it, put some money in my pocket … Y’all still jerking off to the sex tape? Enjoy!”
Can this guy get any worse? Please stop giving him TV time, the man doesn’t deserve it.
